The first time I bought a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag it was the summer of 2006. And the first thing that came to my mind is that it had an 80's look to it that one couldn't miss. Given the 80's influence in the brand's prints, it's not surprise Marc by Marc Jacobs is used a lot on Carrie's Diaries.

What is it about the Petal to the Metal collection that has me thinking so much about investing some money on this necklace? I don't know if it's the pink, or the birds, but this coming Spring season I find myself seriously considering buying it.
And I don't even wear necklaces! Oh yes, I admit to that. Handbags are my thing. Give me a gift card any day and I'll spend it right away, on a handbag, you guessed. But I really really really R E A L L Y like this necklace. Off to saving I go!

I promise no picture of this bag is fair. The more I carry it, the more I love it. The shape, the color blocking, the combination of yellow, black and gray. If you don't believe me, it's ok, but at least give me the benefit of the doubt. Then again if you're reading this website is because you certainly have to love MBMJ as much as I do. The shape of this bag while being carried is beautiful. It's also very spacious without looking big and the leather is to die for.
In fact, I love it so much I had to write this post. And I don't write in my blog very often.

It can now be found via Nordstrom available in wineberry. It's the only website I know that has it available. I can't wait for the rest of them to be available and I can't wait to see it in real life. I have been waiting for this bag ever since the runway!

The first time I sasw this at a store it was a nice surprise. It hadn't showed up online and looking at it in real caused some impact on my senses. I don't know why, it's not very original but I like it. I guess I can't really resist a boston shaped bag. I am not a fan of logos on handbags but, since I love Marc Jacobs so much I really don't mind carrying his logo filled Taryn Satchel. The size is great, it's a bit smaller than an LV Speedy 25 but it's good enough. And it's not heavy at all.
I have one issue with this bag though: it's PVC. I don't really want to carry a logo filled PVC bag, do I? I wouldn't mind at all but the combination of PVC and logos is not my favorite one. I know its not easy to find a Marc by Marc Jacobs leather bag for less than USD 300 but one can dream right? Other than that, I love the Taryn Satchel and I wouldn't mind carrying the Black Multi color combination (yes, even if it's PVC.) The Chinchilla Multi (what is it about yellow that I am liking so so very much?) is also nice, the Hazelnut Multi not so much.

It's only natural that since I've been wearing glasses since I was four, if I see a bag full of glasses, well, I like it. And if it's a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag in bright colors perfect for summer I like it even more. It's a perfect beach bag and it's not too big. It's big enough to carry anything we might need but not big enough to become annoying. The color combo is a plus: it's bright, nice and catchy.

I know this is a Marc by Marc Jacobs blog but as long as I am utterly and helpelssly in love with Marc Jacobs in general I will post whatever I find myself loving every day. And let me tell you, I love A LOT of Marc Jacobs bags.
Take the Manhattan for example, I had only seen it in black but seeing it now in Blush takes it to a completely different level. And it's gorgeous, it's fantastic, it's perfect. I don't know what it is about quilted bags that take my breath away no matter what. And a quilted light pink boston by Marc Jacobs? Absolutely priceless! Available here for 1095 Euro.
I usually like bold bright colors but seeing this Blush wallet from Marc by Marc Jacobs was a nice change. The silver hardware is always welcome and since MBMJ usually makes those bold bright colors I was talking about it's a surprise to find something in cotton pink. Given the pastel palette this spring, this is a really nice find. Practical, useful, good size, good amount of compartments and perfect color. Available here for 175 Euro.
I'll be honest: I haven't mentioned anything about the Werdie because I can't bring myself to like it. I don't like the colorblocking combination it comes in and I find the shape a bit, I don't know, odd. Something about it doesn't add up. I know that's vague but I am basing my opinion not on a fact but just on how I feel about the bag. Until I saw the Werdie Commuter Bag. I like it, just as I don't like the regular Werdie, I like this one. For no particular reason. Perhaps it's the Cement color this one is available on or the silver hardware, or the simple design with the chic Marc Jacobs allure. Who knows, but I like it. Available via Nordstrom for USD 458.
By the way, the inside lining is super cool, very MBMJ, reminds me of comic books but super cool.
Electro Blue
I know most people love this bag, but I don't. If I am going to be honest, that is the first thing I have to say about it. Two days ago, my niece told me she was at Bloomingdales shopping and sent me pictures of bags she liked. This was one of them. She sent me the nylon version and as soon as I saw it I said "NOOO." The dangling ID tag somehow bothers me. I think that's the main reason I don't like it. Other than that, the Electro Blue and Cement colors are my favorite, the outside pockets are very useful, and the leather quality, craftmanship and silver hardware make my day. The ID tag can go tag itself to another bag!
